Description

Alaska halibut fishing can make memories that will last a lifetime. Halibut are some of the most sought after fish in the world. They can be found in most of the marine waters of Alaska, as far north as Nome, along the Aleutian chain, and throughout the waters of the southeastern panhandle. Halibut are found on or near the bottom over mud, sand or gravel bottoms. Lingcod are also a large, bottom-dwelling fish that are known for their strong fight and delicious meat. It is also not uncommon while fishing for halibut to catch lingcod and other bottom fish such as black, yellowtail, quillback, and yellow eye, just to name a few.

The Prince William Sound is home to large populations of halibut, salmon, lingcod, and some 30 species of rockfish. These waters have many areas that have large volcanic outcroppings that provides the necessary habitat to hold massive schools of rockfish. And the voracious lingcod preys on these large schools

These trips take place in some of the most beautiful and remote regions of Alaska, with over 300 miles of coastline in Prince William Sound. These fishing charters are led by a fun and experienced captain and knowledgeable deck hands.

For day trips, you will need to book a hotel in Valdez, but if your sea legs are up for it, book a trip where you will boat out some 30 plus miles and anchor, spending a night or two on the boat, fishing until you have your limit.

All necessary bait and fishing equipment is provided.

And your skill level doesn't matter, they will customize your trip to suit your specific needs. If you have kids, rock fishing will keep them busy all day long.
