Description

Enjoy six full days of fishing for silver salmon (Coho) in late August, September, and early October. Where some 20,000+ of these hard-fighting, delicious fish swim upstream to spawn in this River and its neighboring streams. You can expect an exciting and challenging fishing experience, with opportunities to catch larger than average Coho salmon, Steelhead, Rainbow Trout, Cutthroat Trout, and Dolly Varden, using either fly fishing or spinning tackle methods.

This specific strain of Coho along the North Gulf Coast is larger on average than the Coho in southwest or western Alaska. Coho on this unique river average twelve pounds, with many fish taken during a week's fishing between thirteen to eighteen pounds. Each year several fish in the twenty-pound category are caught and released.

The River is a two-minute drive by ATV from the lodge. Anglers can enjoy the crystal clear water, affording them an opportunity to "site fish" for trophy Silver Salmon. While most anglers prefer to wade, wading isn't a requirement. Most of the productive runs and holes are fished directly from the bank or shore.

The lodge accommodates a maximum of 16 fishermen per week, and prides itself on providing an exceptional fishing experience and is dedicated to providing guests with authentic wilderness fishing without any outside intrusions. Everything you need is included in your stay, from the shuttle flight to the lodge, to comfortable separate cabins, homestyle meals, expert and friendly guides, and access to all the fishing gear you need.

The Lodges amenities and activities are game room, satellite TV, wet bar (BYOB), game tables, drying room (no more wet waders and gear in the morning), vacuum packing, satellite telephone for emergencies, photo opportunities, trap shooting, beach combing and flight seeing. (extra cost)

Each guest is allowed to keep and bring home six salmon. In the spirit of sportsmanship and conservation in preserving these world-class fisheries, Your salmon will be cleaned, flash frozen and boxed for shipping home.

And of course, gourmet camp cuisine: prime rib and Alaska king crab, filet mignon and shrimp, halibut, salmon, cornish game hen, smoked ribs, homemade desserts, fresh salads, homemade soups and full breakfasts.
