Hunt Description

For those hunters into the big cats, a lynx from the wilds of Canada is a must have. Though not as big as the cougar, these feline predators will challenge any hunters skills.

The hunt starts early as the days are short this time of year in these northern forests. A snowmobile will be used to access the general area these cats are known to prowl but some walking along the old logging roads is usually required so as to not make the cats aware of your presence. When tracks are cut in the snow, you and your guide will setup for a series of calls. You must be ready because these cats with their giant feet, can move so silently that they might just appear on a log within 10 short yards in front of you.

Your outfitter lives full time in the Canadian outback and spends his winters running his trap line and calling lynx. You won't find anyone with more experience hunting these forest phantoms. After he picks you up at the airport, you will be driven the 2 hours to his lodge where your hunt will begin. The necessary tags and licenses will be waiting for you when you get there.
