Anyone looking for an adventure can find it here. This moose lodge is based on the shores of a remote lake right on the border of Bay du Nord Wilderness Reserve. There is no road access to this lake so a helicopter is used to transport hunters and their gear into camp. Due to its remote location, the moose in this area receive limited hunting pressure which provides a great opportunity for success and the real possibility of taking a trophy quality Eastern Canadian Moose. Plus a unique trait with the "timber" moose in this area is the configuration of their antlers. Due to the dense timber, some antlers are prevented from growing super wide but their palms can be exceptionally tall. This height can make for a very impressive trophy.

Most hunting is traditional spot and stalk with calling during the rut. Transportation in the field is typically by boat or on foot with some limited Argo transport being available as well. Any moose hunt can be tough and this one is no exception. Hunters will need to be in decent shape and prepared for long hikes over uneven terrain. Tented spike camps are often utilized to allow hunters to stay in more remote locations.

Along with the top quality moose hunting, there is also the opportunity to take a black bear. Newfoundland is famous for its large black bear and some well over 500 pounds have been taken with this outfit. There is a high population of bears in the area and most hunters will have an opportunity if they have purchased the necessary tag.
